Job Preparation

Here's everything you need to know before your scheduled job day.

Before Power Washing

  • Make sure your water spigot is operational and turned on
  • Remove all furniture, planters, grills, and decor from the deck
  • Clear access around and under the deck
  • Make sure all windows and doors are fully sealed and closed
  • 50% deposit has been paid

Before Staining

  • Sprinklers are turned off, or are not pointing towards the project
  • The deck must be completely dry after washing — this takes 24–48 hours
  • Keep the deck clear of furniture and debris
  • Pick your stain color (see below)

After Staining

  • Stay off the deck completely for 24–36 hours while the stain cures
  • No furniture, rugs, or planters for 72 hours
  • Avoid sprinklers or water near the deck for 48 hours
  • Pay remaining 50% balance
