Swatches show real wood grain on pine. Appearance varies by species, condition, and number of coats.

Why TWP 100 Series

Stain that works from the inside out

Unlike water-based stains that coat the surface and eventually peel, TWP 100 Series is an oil-based formula that soaks directly into the wood. That's the difference between a deck that looks great for one season and one that lasts 3 to 5 years before needing another coat.

Sherwin-Williams — TWP 100 Series

Premium oil-based exterior wood stain

  • Won't peel, crack, or blister

TWP penetrates into the wood fibers — not just the surface. No film to peel off.

  • Built for Minnesota winters

Freeze-thaw cycles destroy surface coatings. TWP flexes with the wood so it doesn't fail.

  • UV protection built in

Mildewcides and UV blockers are part of the formula — not an afterthought.

  • Preserves natural wood grain

Semi-transparent formula lets the wood character show through, not just a paint-over.

  • One of the highest-rated on the market

Contractors and homeowners have trusted TWP for decades. It's not a trend — it works.

What to Expect

What happens on job day

01

Power Wash

We pressure wash your deck and let it dry 24–48 hours. This is non-negotiable for proper stain adhesion — don't let anyone skip this step.

Make sure water spigot is on and deck is clear

02

Stain Application

Your selected TWP color is hand-applied with brushes — never sprayed — for deep, even penetration into every board and between every gap.

03

Cure & Enjoy

Stay off the deck 24–36 hours while the stain cures. No furniture for 72 hours, no sprinklers for 48. Then enjoy it all season.
